KaunHoTum — Child Safety Standards

Published by SageWabbit LLP · Version: 2026-07 draft, pending final legal review before app-store publication.

1. Our commitment

KaunHoTum has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). KaunHoTum is an adults-only platform for users 18 and over. Protecting children is non-negotiable and takes precedence over any other feature or consideration.

2. Age policy

Access is strictly limited to users aged 18+. We enforce this with a date-of-birth age gate and photo-verification checks at signup. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If we discover a user is a minor, we remove the account and delete the associated data.

3. What is prohibited

Any CSAM; any sexualisation of minors; grooming, enticement, or solicitation of a minor; and any attempt to contact, meet, or exploit a minor. Violations result in immediate removal and a permanent ban, and are reported to the authorities.

4. How we prevent and detect it

We screen uploaded images with content moderation and CSAM hash-matching before they are shown; we run text moderation to detect grooming and enticement; and we act on user reports. Detection combines automated tools with human review.

5. How to report

Every profile, photo, and message has a one-tap Report option, including a category for child-safety concerns and underage users. Users can also report directly to the authorities:

  • National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal — cybercrime.gov.in, or the 1930 helpline in India
  • NCMEC CyberTipline — report.cybertip.org

6. What we do when CSAM is reported or detected

We disable access to the content immediately upon detection or actual knowledge — and in every case within 24 hours of a report — preserve evidence, and permanently ban the account. In line with the Supreme Court of India's 2024 POCSO ruling, we report CSAM to Indian authorities as required by POCSO §§19–20 (via the SAHYOG portal / cybercrime.gov.in), and we additionally report to the NCMEC CyberTipline. We cooperate with law-enforcement requests.

7. Our safety point of contact

8. Legal basis

Information Technology Act, 2000 §67B; Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 (including §§19–21 reporting duties); IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021; Google Play Child Safety Standards (CSAE) policy.

9. Continuous improvement

We review these standards, our detection tools, and our reporting processes regularly, and update them as the law and best practice evolve.
